The 2021 County Profiles with key COVID-19 nutrition assistance indicators are here

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly reshaped the legal geographies and programmatic delivery of nutrition assistance programs across West Virginia. As schools shut down and businesses struggled to remain open, our food access landscapes changed. Data collected from the WV Department of Health and Human Resources, WV Department of Education, U.S. Census Bureau, U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and original research conducted by the WVU Food Justice Lab inform these updated PDF profiles. Stay tuned for further updates to these profiles taking into account municipal and county level disbursements through the 2021 American Rescue Plan (ARPA).
